1:The first Independence day of India was celebrated on 15th August 1947, by hoisting a tri-coloured flag.

2:When India became independent, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru became its first Prime Minister and hoisted the national flag on Red Fort, Delhi.

3:India had no national anthem during the time of its independence. India’s national anthem was adopted later on 24th January 1950. 

4:At the time of India's independence, there were no existence of Governmental structures. At that time there was no president or prime minister leading the country.
