⚡Celebrated on the 5th of June:
World Environment Day(WED) is celebrated on the 5th of June every year. It is the principal vehicle of United Nation for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
It was first held in 1974,and has been a flagship campaign for raising awareness on emerging environmental issues from Marine Pollution, Human Overpopulation and Global Warming to Sustainable Consumption and Wildlife Crime.
⚡Theme of 2019 WED:
This theme "BEAT AIR POLLUTION" is a call to action against the global crisis Air Pollution. China hosted this year's WED and by this theme they invited us all to consider how we can change our everyday lives to reduce the amount of air pollution we produce and its contribution to global warming and its effects on our own health.
